1. King and Queen of Ngorongoro
Majestic. Lying in the tall grass, peaceful and royal, they observe these strange shells in which humans bundle up. We are part of the landscape. And towards us no prudishness, lions are at home, so whatever...! The male tries once, twice, the female balks, then accepts, a few roars and the matter is done. Back to catnap.

2. A Lion's feast
You will mostly see them lying on the blond grass of the savannah, resting or playing with each other, while gazelles and other food purveyors peacefully pass right next to them. If they have had their share already, no need to hustle, lions can go a week without eating. But it doesn’t mean they don’t eat heavy, when a Lion’s stomach is empty, his appetite is voracious. This female is feasting on a wildebeest, she can swallow up to 50 kg of meat at a time, up to a fourth her weight. Soon it will be her cubs turn, the whole pride will take their share.

3. Iridescent hustle-bustle
These superb starling are in a fight for a wasp, or what is left of it. The one on the right did not catch it in time, still he does not admit defeat. But no worries, both will eat their fill. These perching birds are not afraid of humans, they invite themselves to the picnic, shameless. They sure love company! These superb starling’s crew counts more than 40 mates. But when it comes to food, the harmony is not always there...

4. Handed on a plate
The crocodile doesn’t need to hurry… this wildebeest won’t move. Badly hurt, he won’t see the end of the day. The scene takes place on the river Mara. Every year, no less than two million wildebeests travel around 800 kilometers. They aim north to Kenya, before coming back south to the plains of Serengeti. Wildebeests are pretty gregarious, they don’t have a clear leader, simply follow each other. Sometimes, in search of pasture, they cross the river multiple times, and it is with high risks.
